 Junior Software Engineer: IPA is a systems design, development and administration company specializing in web-based, database-driven systems for the Federal Government. We have over thirty years experience with government financial data systems and are currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our team!

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experienced in J2EE, .Net or a similar language for web development
Understanding of database concepts and standards
Some experience in database design/development is preferred but not required
U.S. citizens only. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance to work on-site
Overall technical aptitude and work ethic are more important than past experience, although we do want to see a demonstrated ability for web applications development.

Senior SQL Developer - Due to our continued growth we have an immediate need for a Senior SQL Developer who is able to grow and adapt with the ever increasing needs of our business. The primary purpose of this position is to develop database systems solutions and associated technical services designed to support client business objectives through advanced data analysis, modeling and management. This position provides tremendous opportunity for growth within the company.

JOB SUMMARY:
•   Work with Technical Team Lead and clients to define program requirements
•   Building and maintaining SQL scripts in Microsoft SQL Server.
•   Building and maintaining DTS packages.
•   Building and maintaining production SQL jobs.
•   Building and maintaining complex SQL queries for data analysis and data extract.
•   Building and maintaining ETL scripts.
•   Building and maintaining data mart extraction processes.

JOB SKILLS:

•   Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) to aggregate data

Position Summary:
The DBA will work in an environment consisting of a large distributed network of 50+ database servers

Essential Functions:
•   Will help manage large, high transaction rate, SQL Server production databases (100GB to 1 TB), specifically physical database design w/large relational implementations on a SAN
•   Performance tuning and maintenance of production databases, anticipating problems and proactively preventing them from occurring. Must be able to analyze procedures and configuration and suggest appropriate modifications.
•   Develop stored procedures and triggers to support real-time transactions.
•   Using ERWIN or other CASE tool for conceptual and physical database design.
•   Work with a small internal team to design upgrades.
•   Specifies user access level for each segment of data items.
•   Modifies database procedures to increase processing performance.
•   Work with programmers and analysts to make changes to database management system.
•   Confers with co-workers to determine impact of data base changes and staff cost to make changes

Qualifications:
1.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
2.  2+ years development experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
3.  3+ years in an IT development environment.
4.  Experience with transactional databases with advanced features.

Required Skills:
